Fiona Raschella, LLB (Hons), BA (Hons), B.Sc

Lawyer

Fiona was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of South Australia in 2004 after graduating from the Flinders University of South Australia. She also holds an Honours degree in Psychology from Flinders University and the University of South Australia.

Fiona has over a decade’s experience in managing and defending complex insurance, employment, workplace, personal injuries, medical negligence and asbestos claims, having been successfully involved in numerous trials in the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts of South Australia along with the Federal Court of Australia.

During her career she has provided complex legal advice, conducted fraud investigation/analysis and workplace investigations, delivered risk management advice, drawn up employment contracts and been engaged in negotiating and/or mediating settlements of claims to try and avoid costly litigation for government clients, and a range of small to large private companies/corporations, particularly in the health, automotive and commercial sectors.

Fiona is committed to providing the best legal service to her clients, particularly with a view to ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, particularly in the employment field, in order to avoid any potential claims and to minimise costs to her clients. If claims arise, she uses her best endeavours to negotiate the resolution of any claims to avoid the need to proceed to trial.

In addition to experience in the employment and insurance fields, Fiona has worked in the areas of property law, wills and estates and intellectual property and is able to provide assistance to clients in these areas.

Fiona also has a special interest and is passionate about the provision of health services to the community and sits on community advisory groups for the Adelaide Primary Health Network and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in South Australia.

In her spare time, you will find Fiona spoiling her two Jack Russell dogs, as well as baking sweet treats for humans, and treats for her beloved dogs, relaxing at the beach or cruising the high seas.
