Flavia has over 16 years of solid legal practice experience in business and corporate law, general commercial advice and disputes having acted for blue chip multinationals, many SME businesses, not-for-profits, entrepreneurial and high-net-worth individuals to this date.

Prior to joining Teddington Legal, Flavia gained valuable legal and business experience working as in-house at leading multinational corporations such as Commonwealth Bank, Lend Lease and Pirelli Group, and at a successful start-up IT company. Flavia also spent 6 years in private practice before she made her move to Surry Hills.

As a real plus, Flavia is an experienced and well connected Brazilian Lawyer (LLB, Mackenzie Presbyterian University, Sao Paulo) (1995-2000). She was born and lived in Sao Paulo capital city for 24 years, where she practiced commercial, corporate and intellectual property law for 5 years before coming to Australia in 2001, as a student. She was the first female Brazilian Lawyer to become qualified and practice Law in Australia.

In Australia, she has acted for many SME businesses and large multinational corporations (Ochre Energy, Contract Resources, Fresh Catering, Central de Intercambio – Ci, Somos21 Org, to cite some).

As everything in life evolves and revolves, Flavia’s newest mission is to apply all her experience and wisdom to assist the entrepreneurial sector, those with interest and investment appetite for the Brazilian market, or guide Brazilian ventures wanting to break ground in Australia soil.

Flavia is a real doer, energetic, some may say she gives ‘tough love’ but in truth she is an eternal strive, passionate, a learner, with a naturally focused, strategic and achiever type of mind, who takes her profession as a nothing but ‘a call’.

She is a Director and Public Officer of the Australia-Brazil Chamber of Commerce – ABCC, co-founder at Ember Eco Solutions – a magnificent waste to energy company, Director of Star J Consultancy & International Ventures and on advisory board of Somos21.org.

Flavia is passionate about international trade, connecting people, engaging in nous conversation, the beach, music and inspiring others to take their professional and personal plans to new heights.


Flavia was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2008, is a member of the Register of Practitioner of the High Court of Australia, and holds a Diploma in Law from the University of Sydney/LPAB (2004-2008).
