Simon Holding, LLB, GDLP

Simon spent 30 years as proprietor of an earthmoving company. Early on in his career Simon worked out that as a contractor there were many opportunities to maximize profit if the documentation was properly interpreted, and enjoyed that side of the business so much that eventually he went on to study Law at Adelaide University.

Since admission as practitioner in the Supreme Court and the High Court Simon has focused on construction law. He has an interest in the Security of Payment legislation and recovery of contractual money owed, as well as wider interests in commercial law. A range of experience in business outside the practice of law gives Simon an understanding of how important it is to achieve outcomes that focus on a practical resolution to clients problems.

Interests beyond the Law include cooking and eating too much, searching for bad wine (difficult to find in this country), learning to play the guitar and teaching people to fly gliders.
